It is now free to hike in Sedona Arizona. Until recently day passes, weekly passes, and annual passes were available to hike the trails in and around Sedona and these passes have generated funds for trail upkeep and management. These passes are still required for many trails outside of Sedona. The fees to hike were dropped for trails in Sedona, which is great for those who like to frequent the trails.
The changes to the fee structure and Red Rock Pass system were a result of public input and a demonstration of how the local park district works with the Sedona community. Trails in and around Sedona are an important part of the community, allowing visitors and residents alike the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful country that surrounds us.
