Sedona Arizona News: Job & Economy In Sedona Not As Bad As Other Parts of the State!
Like much of the US, Arizona is hurting economically, however there are areas of the state where there is less economic pain!
Of course, these are areas with diversified economies – including Flagstaff and Tucson.
Flagstaff, Sedona’s neighbor to the north and the largest city in northern Arizona, probably has the healthiest economy in the state. For months, it has had the lowest or nearly the lowest unemployment rate in the state. According to a new AP Economic Stress Index, Coconino County, had the least stress in the state.
Flagstaff has a shortage of housing, the area largely escaped speculative housing construction because the Forest Service land around it doesn’t provide much room to grow. It also has more tourism-related jobs than other metro areas because of its proximity to two of the state’s most popular tourist attractions, the Grand Canyon and Sedona. Leisure and hospitality jobs account for 18% of all jobs. Better yet, there are no shortage of visitors!
Sedona and the area around in the Verde Valley has always drawn visitors who seek some well deserved rest and relaxation at some of the areas hotels and resort, or in their second home. The area is always growing and people recognise that it is a great place to visit, live and work.
Realty Times poses the question: Arizona: Is Now THE Time to Invest in the Grand Canyon State? The answer seems to be a very firm – YES!
