James Gill is well known in artist circles for his fabulous talents in the realmn of Pop art. The Lanning Gallery in Sedona welcomes this infamous artist whose prominence came about in the sixties with the rise of pop art – the era of Warhol and Lichtenstein. However this small town Texan artist after a period in the limelight shone publicity and is now making a comeback with a host of exhibitions around the country.

The first exhibition will be in Sedona with an Artist Reception Friday, November 7, from 5-8 p.m., and an Artist Dialogue/casual brunch Saturday, November 8, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.  The gallery’s second show will be held in Scottsdale, February 20-22.

The artist distinguished himself from his peers back in his heyday, however through using newly available technologies it has allowed him to create his most visually stunning and vibrant work yet!
