Sedona Arizona Real Estate: What to plant where in your garden in Sedona

Courtesy of Public Domain pictures. netSo you have decided to replant the yard and create a gorgeous flower garden to enjoy in your Sedona Arizona home.

Where do you begin?!

Despite the influx of many great DIY and gardening shows on our tv sets lately not many deal with the climate and terrain that is offered in Sedona. Therefore an alternative resource has to be found, and it is the internet.

The web is a great resource for the novice planter or someone with years of experience who is just starting out in Sedona with their first few pots or flower beds. Sedona is approximately 4,500 feet above sea level and as such slightly different plants will grow here. Soil type, climate and a whole host of other factors will influence what you can grow. The Arizona Master Gardener Manual is a great start about learning what can grow in the desert. Sedona is in Zone’s 4 or 5 for your reference.

With many people relocating to Sedona from different parts of the country they are often unfamiliar with the local plants and are unsure what they can and can’t grow here. An important lesson to learn when looking at Sedona Real Estate!
