Sedona Arizona: State Website Shows Residents and Visitors where to fish in Sedona Thanks to Online Map

What could be better than a day our on the lakes or on the creek fishing! Sitting there basking in the sunshine, casting off a line and just enjoying the late summer’s afternoon! Well, the state of Arizona can assist you online now in selecting your perfect fishing spot!

The new feature of the Arizona Game and Fish Department’s website allows you to see a map of Arizona, see where you can fish, what type of fish you can catch as well as local facilties in the area! Readers of the state published "Arizona Fishin’ Holes" booklet will recognize most of the information which was largely taken from there.

The new interactive map can be viewed here: http://www.azgfd.gov/h_f/FishingLocationsMap.shtml

Of course with the information being electronic, searches can be undertaken in microseconds! You can narrow down fishing spots by what you can catch for instance - i.e. if you want to go and catch some "rainbow trout" you simply put in, "rainbow trout" and a list of locations will appear! Additionally you can get driving directions as well as current weather conditions - all a benefit of the internet version of the information over the printed. However it is worth purchasing the booklet (for sale from the state for $6) as it is a handy "on the road" booklet for when you are en route to your favorite fishing spot!
