The National Association of Realtors has indicated that in May this year there wa a great increase in sales activity compared to May 2007 as buyers are deciding to dip their toes back into the real estate market. With stocks not performing as well as people thought there is a slow shift of equity back to the real estate market as people realize the long term benefit of owning property.

There is even an increase in the national average sales price.

Even areas which previously suffered during the downturn are now poised to take off with an increase in sales - areas such as Texas, Florida and California are such places.
