The newly elected city council for Sedona met on Monday and drew up a plan for its top prioriies for the coming two years as reported by the Red Rock News

Top of a bunch of areas which the council wants to work on is redevelopment. The council wants to look at ongoing financial commitments as well as environmental sustainability. The road works and reworking of highway 179 of course was a hot topic and different plans for its future were discussed as the city is working closely with the Arizona Department of Transport to lessen the impact of the construction work on traffic flow.

The council also wants to focus on traffic safety including improved road signage as well as better maintenence of parks as well as the hiking trails. The council also wants to do more for the areas youth including another youth center to give youngsters activities to take part in.

What is for sure is that the next couple of years are going to be interested in the history of Sedona which truely is a city on the move!
