Arizona Snowbowl Debate
Sedona skiiers could face gray water snow when they head to Flagstaff
One of the perks of living in Sedona is that it is not only home to unique red rock scenery, but also that it has access to a variety of outdoor activities, including skiing in areas like the Arizona Snowbowl.
However, reports Sedona.biz, there is a debate going on regarding the Arizona Snowbowl. The resort operators want to use so-called "gray water" — treated waste water — to assist in making artificial snow to complement the real snow that falls on the Arizona Snowbowl.
Native Americans and Green Sedona are both against this move, calling it a "quick fix," and insisting that it is possible to find a green solution that would allow Sedona skiiers and others to enjoy snow-filled slopes.
